Level & prerequisites

Don’t let word “basics” fool you. Edgework is an advanced modality within low flow. This series is not suitable for beginners. Students need to be familiar with hand positions and proficient with basic static spins and turns (at least grounded with no heels) on the pole. In addition, the ability to pull-up and maintain stable upright holds is required.

Equipment

  • 7" or 8” platform sandals. No non-platform heels, or shoes not secured with an ankle strap.

  • Knee pads.

  • Clothing you feel comfortable in, that will not get in the way or inhibit movement.

For attendees of online series:

  • Pole. Must be able to be safely put and stay on static.

  • Yoga blocks (2). If you don't have blocks, a few thick books stacked will work.

  • Device with internet connection. Please be familiar with using Zoom.

  • Flat, hard flooring to dance on. Carpeted/uneven/raised floors are not recommended.
